Katherine Lane graduated from TCU in May 2008 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She was bit by the reporting bug at the age of 13 and never considered another career. She started in Abilene at KTAB News as the Nightbeat reporter and was live on the air every night of the week at 10 pm. While in Abilene, she covered everything from murder trials to stories of exceptional senior citizens in her area. Her most amazing assignment took her to Haiti to cover the Dyess Airmen and women while aiding the people of the earthquake-ravaged country. It was there she discovered another passion - helping people in need.
