Ashley Roberts desire to be a journalist started in her childhood when she would carry around her "Talkboy" and "Yak Bak" recorders to interview anyone and everyone who crossed her path. She earned an Electronic News degree at the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!) and is proud to have kicked off her career right here in the DFW area.. At UNT, Ashley was a news anchor, reporter and weather anchor for NTTV Nightly News on North Texas Television, an Emmy award winning student-run newscast. She also studied British broadcasting and film at the University of London. Her passion for sharing community events and stories has grown immensely during her time anchoring and reporting for Denton Television and Irving Community Television Network. She's had the pleasure of telling countless inspirational stories; many of which you can watch here on our website listed below. Ashley is also the host of Channel 33's community affairs show, DFW Close Up which airs on KDAF every Sunday at 7AM. Ashley believes "when you find something you love, you never work another day in your life", and feels fortunate she's found that. She considers it an honor and privilege to give people a voice and share what they have to say with others.
