Hey everyone,

If you haven’t seen my most recent video about Mazie’s Mission Adopt-A-Thon then check it out! They did such a wonderful job last weekend and it was a great experience to be a part of such an amazing event! They had hopes of adopting out at least 100 animals. They didn’t quite make their goal BUT I am happy to announce that they did send 92 animals to loving homes! Thanks you, Mazie’s Mission for hosting the 24-hour Adopt-A-Thon and giving so many animals the opportunity to be loved.

Eryn Van Valkenburg’s passion for news began when she was thirteen, but it wasn’t until college that she was given the opportunity to pursue a career in journalism. While studying communications at The University of Tampa, Eryn served as an on-air intern with The City of Tampa Television. An active Greek in college, Eryn was the Vice President of Delta Gamma Fraternity and a member of The Order of Omega National Greek Honor Society. In her limited spare time, Eryn juggled volunteer work at various organizations in Tampa, attended church, and managed to fit in her exercise routine. Although she is from Florida, Eryn is no stranger to Texas. In the summer of 2010, Eryn was a intern with KDFW Fox 4 News during which she fell in love with the great city of Dallas. Eryn is proud to call Dallas her new home and knows her optimism and good attitude with be a valuable asset to the DFW Reporting team. In her spare time, Eryn loves riding her cousin’s horse, watching NFL Football and like any true Floridian, spending time on the water or by the pool. In addition, she loves spending time with her family, exercising and relaxing with a good book.
