Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders showcase new calendar [HD]

They are America’s sweethearts – the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

“It’s a dream come true,” said Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Kaitlin Ilseng.

It’s that time of the year again – the annual Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Calendar Launch Party and 2012 may never have looked so good.

“We’re all super excited because you really don’t get to see your friends beautiful pictures that often,” said Ilseng.

These beauties are showing not only can they cheer but they sure know how to model.

“Looking at these pictures just takes me by surprise,” said Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Kelsi Reich. “Never in my life did I ever imagine being a model, much less in a swimsuit.”

Not only was it a celebration of the brand new 2012, but it was also a reunion for everyone involved who made the calendar a reality. Photographers caught up with the cheerleaders they took photos of and everyone reminisced about their ten day photo shoot in Puero Vallarta, Mexico.

“You know, we do spend long days taking these beautiful photos, but when we’re not shooting, we get to explore, and be tourists for a day,” said Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Ally Traylor.

From Ms. January to Ms. August, these chosen twelve are humbled to be in the spotlight.

“I see these calendars in the malls and random stands on the streets so it’s such an honor to actually be in this that travels internationally,” said Reich.

But while their fans and admirers are grabbing the 2012 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders calendars off the shelves, these American icons are focused on performing.

“We’ve already gotten into the season and we’re training hard for our Thanksgiving halftime coming up,” said Traylor.

While they look amazing in swimsuits, it’s cheering the Cowboys onto victory that they love the most.

2010 Houston Texans Cheerleaders [HD]

Hundreds of women auditioned for the 2010 Houston Texans Cheerleaders squad at Methodist Training Center.

“We’re expecting a lot of stiff competition,” said dancer Kirsten Hardy.

“All the veterans have to try out again,” said dancer Duyen Doan.

Before the competition started head dance instructor Alto Gary described what the judges are looking for. Once they got the choreography down it was show time.

“I’m always a fan of entertainment so I want to see the best,” said Texans Cheerleaders Services Manager Alto Gary. “If I could have my wish I wanted I would choose a well, rounded cheerleader who is beautiful, smart and talented.”

The dancers finished their eye catching preparations and took their places in front of the judges.

“If you want to be noticed and you want be to recognized you need to stand out,” said dancer Lauren Petty. “It could be your dance. It could be your looks. It’s everything that’s a factor in it.”

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders reveal their fitness secrets [HD]

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are releasing their new workout DVDs nationwide tomorrow.

“The DVDs are awesome because they actually feature things that we really do to stay in shape,” said Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Ally Traylor. “First and foremost we’re mainly a dance team. We dance all the way throughout the game. There are 3 different types of workout. You have everything from a calorie blasting dance cardio workout and you got a hard body bootcamp. You also got a body slimming yoga.”

Along with exercise the cheerleaders stay fit by keeping healthy snacks at their finger tips.

“Our best friend are those individual packets of tuna and almonds,” said Traylor. “We cannot get enough almonds. There are almonds all over our locker room. We always have huge bags of apples.”

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders director Kelli Finglass’s office has become emphasis for the room where the cheerleaders get cut from the team during the women’s training camp.

“It’s maybe uncomfortable for me that my office has now become kind of the dooms day for many of them but there’s also a lot of good things that happen in that office to.”

Finglass says good health habits is a main focus for the organization.

“They don’t focus on diet, starvation or skinny,” said Finglass. “They focus on burning calories, cardio, strength, flexibility and conditioning. If somebody does the workout over and over they’ll actually know some of our choreography and recognize some of it on the field.”

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders workout DVDs hit shelves on October 6th nationwide.
