My name is Katrina Gutierrez and I'm originally from the Rio Grande
Valley in McAllen, Texas. My family moved to San Antonio when I was about to go into middle school and now I'm in Denton, Texas.
If there is one thing I love about reporting it is the ability to use
visuals and words to make an impact. To be the voice of the voiceless and hold the powerful accountable are my two most important mottos.
I love the idea of helping people and helping others. I don't want to be a lawyer and another way to do that is journalism.
