Hundreds of people showed up in North Dallas at Triple D Fitness which raised awareness about domestic violence. The event called Sweatin’ Out Domestic Violence is a three hour fitness extravaganza featuring a wide array of personal trainers in the metroplex. Anyone can participate with a donation of twenty five dollars towards Genesis Women’s Shelter.
“You got to help if you can,” said participant Mike Mitchell.
“We have to support those especially those who can’t do for themselves who are being held back,” said Personal Trainer Darren Clark. “It’s just unfair. It’s not right. It’s not cool. Someone has to speak out. Someone has to do something to contribute in any way that we can and that’s what we’re doing today.”
Genesis Women’s Shelter has been committed to stopping the epidemic of domestic violence against women and children for the last twenty five years.
