New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte announced on Friday in New York he will retire from Major League Baseball. Pettitte made his first public appearance since his announcement at The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas this morning. He spoke to our journalist Angela Hamann exclusively on camera about his decision. Watch the video in HD above.

Pettitte has pitched 2,251 strikeouts, 240 wins, and has a career ERA of 3.88. He’s earned five World Series rings and has never had a losing season.
