Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion played host to a celebrity poker tournament with one hundred percent of the proceeds going to the Shawn Marion Foundation.
“The Shawn Marion Foundation benefits single families and single mothers and its great,” said Shawn Marion. “I love giving back. It’s what its about.”
“Shawn is obviously a good friend and an important part of the Mavericks,” said Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban. “Any chance I get to come out and give back to what Shawn is doing I’m going to do it.”

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban joined professional poker players Annie Duke, Maria Ho, and Tiffany Michelle at the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma.
“I really believe in any kind of cause that helps people better themselves and make better choices for themselves,” said professional poker player Annie Duke.
“I love playing poker,” said Marion. “I play every time I get a chance.”
“I am more of a Black Jack guy because if I sit down and play poker I’m going to be there for 10 years,” said Cuban.
Even without Cuban at a table the other two hundred and fifty or so participants were all in.
“At the end of the day everyone is here to support a great cause and have some fun playing with some poker stars,” said Marion.
