Venus Williams arrived at Barnes & Noble in Dallas for her book signing. The tennis champ’s new book Come to Win is about how sports can help you succeed in life.
“I told Venus when I got the book for her to sign I said this is for my son who absolutely worships you,” said Alma Villegas.
“It’s really having all these contributors who are at the top of their field and how sport helped them to get to where they are now,” said Venus Williams.
The book released earlier this summer boasts stories from people like former President Bill Clinton and fashion designer Vera Wang.
“Everyone from politicians to athletes to actors to brain surgeons so it’s very exciting to have this lineup and I’m really proud of the book,” said Williams. “I think it will really encourage a lot of people. It’s already encouraged me.”
Something even the world’s number three ranked women’s tennis player needs once in a while.
“It’s great for me to meet my fans and for me it’s really motivating because everyone’s so encouraging,” said Williams.
“From what I’ve seen I think that she seems to be a person with a lot of character and integrity,” said MaCarolin Brown.
Williams is expected to play in this year’s U.S. Open and she’ll be there to win.
