Film composer and musician A.R. Rahman held a press conference in Las Colinas at the Four Seasons Hotel to discuss his upcoming Dallas concert. The concert was originally scheduled for earlier in the summer but had to be postponed after a lighting rig collapsed during Rahman’s concert in Detriot which caused major damage.
“Thanks for holding onto your tickets and having the prayers and love,” said musician A.R. Rahman. “We are all really excited to come back.”
Many of the musician’s fans hold him in high regard and cling to his inspirational lyrics. A group of female dancers were thrilled at the opportunity to perform in front of Rahman prior to the press conference. When deliberating over the song selection all were in consensus on which song they would choose.

“He’s world renowned especially with his song Jai Ho,” said dancer Sowmya Rao. “When we were choosing which song to perform we knew we want to dance to Jai Ho.”
Because of his musical talents many consider Rahman to be the same caliber of artist as Sir Paul McCartney and Elton John. Rahman is decorated with a multitude of awards and honors including two Grammy’s and two Oscars for his work on the film Slumdog Millionaire.
“He’s done every type of music,” said dancer Nirmita Shukla. “He’s learned every type of music. He speaks so many languages and he can relate to absolutely anyone through his music.”

Fans can catch the award-winning musician in concert at the American Airlines Center on September 18th.
“The music is a reflection on my philosophy in life,” said Rahman. “I think everybody is equal. Everybody deserves the same treatment. You could be judged by your goodness and badness within us.”
Rahman believes this to be his best concert ever.
