Hundreds of enthusiastic fans lined up at Parks Mall in Arlington waiting to meet the Dallas Cowboys breakout wide receiver.
“I love Miles Austin,” said Brandi Barnett.
Champs Sports played host for the autograph signing allowing fans to take pictures and for a few seconds chat with Austin.
“It was great to give back and meet the fans that are cheering for you in the game,” said Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin. “It’s good to put smiles on people’s faces.”
Nikolas Tijerina and his family stood in line for over five hours just to get a spot at the front of the line.
“I have a Dallas Cowboys sign I’m putting up in my room,” said Nikolas Tijerina. “That man can run. He can catch. He took Terrell Owens spot! That’s a gameboy right there.”

New Jersey is Austin’s hometown but he says he’s adjusting just fine to life in Dallas.
“I like it down here,” said Austin. “I’m here usually in the off-season working out with the guys. I feel at home here now.”
This has proved to be a big season for Austin and the response at this autograph signing shows why he’s a top fan favorite.

“I’ve been trying to get his jersey for forever,” said Patricia Hernandez. “When I see him playing and he smiles it just melts my heart! I was jumping and my legs were cramping up.”
Austin will play in his first Pro Bowl on January 31st in Miami. The Cowboys are hoping to join him one week later in the Super Bowl.
“These guys on the team caring about each other not only on the field but off the field,” said Austin. “We’re becoming more of a cohesive unit and I think that’s what we need to do to keep it moving.”
With the Cowboys winning their first playoff game in thirteen years there’s lots of hope for an even bigger end to this breakout season.
