“This is my fourth stop,” said Gary Chiero. “I am from Ohio. I have been in Columbus. I got my book signed in Columbus to the Palin Man. Then I went to Virginia to Roanoke. I was in Fayetteville, Arkansas yesterday and I’m here today.”
You might say Gary Chiero is a big Sarah Palin fan, but he’s certainly not the only one. Tickets to the former vice presidential candidate’s Going Rogue book signing at Legacy Books in Plano sold out in less than 2 days.
“We got them the first day and they were already half sold out by the time we got here,” said Linda Chumbley. “We were lucky.”

Thirty degree weather didn’t keep more than a thousand North Texans from standing outside in the cold for hours this morning all in the hopes of meeting Sarah Palin in person.
“I can’t feel my feet,” said Debra McFarland.
“I slept outside in the cold twice and I’m 58 years old,” said Chiero.
“We got bundled up after the wind started blowing but we were really having a really good time,” said Chumbley.
Palin’s Plano appearance attracted some of her biggest supporters many of whom say they have much in common with the self-proclaimed Rebublican maverick.
“I like her values,” said Bonnie Brown. “Everything about her is just real regular and she really is a person that you can relate to that really looks out for everybody.”
”She is an everyday kind of person whose down to earth, honest as the day is long, full of integrity, and that’s what draws these crowds,” said Chiero.

Palin signed 1,000 copies of Going Rogue in 3 hours which didn’t leave much face time with fans but hockey mom Rhonda Kraus hoped to stand out from the crowd.
“This is a hockey jersey,” said Rhonda Kraus. “My son who currently plays hockey at Boston University played his junior hockey in Wasilla, Alaska when Sarah Palin was mayor running for Governor of Alaska. I would hope that this would catch her eye so I’m hoping that she might make a comment about this or ask me about the jersey.”
Palin can now add best-selling author to her list of achievements, but fans believe her biggest triumph is yet to come.
“There’s so many people that love her and I just think her popularity is just going to continue to grow ,” said Kraus.
“I’m going to be at the front of the line to vote in 2012 for Sarah Palin,” said Brown.
