An incredibly talented group of performers will take stage at the Majestic Theatre September 11-13. The Spectacular Senior Follies are giving a Broadway-like production featuring nostalgic song and dance classics from the 1930s and 1940s, as well as elaborate costumes, reminiscent of the legendary Ziegfeld Follies.

Most of the performers are in their golden years, as you have to be at least 55 years old to participate! Many of them had very successful careers on stage, and they are thrilled that this years performance will be at the most historical theatres in Dallas, the Majestic Theatre.

The Majestic opened it’s doors in 1921 during the Vaudeville era. At the time, Hollywood stars like Bob Hope and John Wayne came to the Majestic to promote their movies. Then the movies moved out to the suburbs in the 70s. The Majestic has been beautifully restored and is the only standing building from what was known as ‘Theatre Row’ in Downtown Dallas.

Come see the Spectacular Senior Follies perform at The Majestic as they raise money for the Theatre’s preservation fund. Many members of the cast remember the Majestic from their childhood and say it would be a tragedy for Dallas if anything ever happened to it. Show your support for the historical theatre and ageless performers at one of the four shows. They’ll be honoring a legendary Dallasite during the intermission of each performance. Honorees include: Ebby Halliday, Kenneth Cooper, Zig Ziglar and Michael Jenkins.

SHOW TIMES:

Friday, September 11 at 8pm

Saturday, September 12 at 2pm & 8pm

Sunday, September 13th at 2pm

Tickets are available through www.seniorfollies.com
