The official date of the digital switch was Friday June 12th since the first date was postponed. There are so many people in dfw who appear to have not been ready for this change. Click on “Read More” to read on…

So, was everyone ready for the change? Apparently not. Most local tv stations had phone lines
set up to receive calls from people who are not having such a smooth transition into the digital world.
Believe it or not many people still use antennas and don’t have cable. If you dont have a converter
box you can still apply for a coupon to get one. Otherwise, you will have to go watch TV at your neighbors house.

I was born in Lima, Peru. My family moved to the United States when I was 13 years old. It was hard getting used to things since I barely spoke any English but I finally did. During college I interned for the Dallas Cowboys doing everything from handling cameras at the press conferences to interviewing Cowboys in the locker room. I graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington in 2007 with a degree in Broadcasting and a minor in Spanish. I have worked as an assignment desk editor at Telemundo and NBC5 here in Fort Worth. I like being a journalist because every day there is a different story to tell. I want to be able to inform the Hispanic community. Feel free to email me for any story ideas
