Many residents felt the earth shake before 6pm today. Another earthquake?

The USGS website confirmed a 2.6 magnitude earthquake hit north texans on this quiet Sunday afternoon. Cities that felt the earthquake include Blum, Covinton, Rio Vista and Cleburne. Thankfully no one was hurt and there was no damage to any houses. Residents are confused as to why earthquakes are becoming so common in Texas. Some people think it is due to all the gas drilling in North Texas but that might not be the case. What do you think is causing all these earthquakes?

I was born in Lima, Peru. My family moved to the United States when I was 13 years old. It was hard getting used to things since I barely spoke any English but I finally did. During college I interned for the Dallas Cowboys doing everything from handling cameras at the press conferences to interviewing Cowboys in the locker room. I graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington in 2007 with a degree in Broadcasting and a minor in Spanish. I have worked as an assignment desk editor at Telemundo and NBC5 here in Fort Worth. I like being a journalist because every day there is a different story to tell. I want to be able to inform the Hispanic community. Feel free to email me for any story ideas
